Today (06.09.2022), in accordance with the creative policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a number of residential and educational facilities were put into operation at the Tajik National University. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of relevant departments of the country. Following the social policy of the Head of State, hostel No.1 of the Tajik National University, located at the address: Nakhimov Street, 64/10, Sino district of Dushanbe, after a major overhaul, was put into operation as a service hostel for 30 teachers and young employees of TNU.
Also, on this day, a new building of the Confucius Institute of Education and Culture at the Tajik National University was put into operation, at the expense of the Xinjiang Pedagogical University of the People’s Republic of China and the Tajik National University. At the same time, a sports ground and an amphitheater were put into operation on the threshold of this beautiful and modern building.
In the hall of the Amphitheater with the participation of guests and in the presence of the rector of the university, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Q.Kh. a cultural event dedicated to the opening of these facilities took place. It was noted that the Confucius Institute for Education and Culture at the Tajik National University was established in August 2008 on the initiative and with the joint support of the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China.
The new building of the Confucius Institute at TNU consists of two floors and covers an area of more than 1800 square meters. It has modern classrooms equipped with electronic boards, conference rooms, language rooms, music classes, culture halls, a library, an archive, museums, multifunctional auditoriums, dance and sports halls, a canteen, etc.
On the basis of the cultural program on behalf of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, more than 100 orphans and disabled children studying at the university were awarded prizes and souvenirs.
