The Lyceum with a natural and mathematical bias was created by the Order of the Rector of the National University of Tajikistan dated 18.08.2009 (No. 417-09) and in agreement with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 11.09. 2009 No. 91065/4 (16.1-4) as an educational institution within the University.
The Lyceum of the National University of Tajikistan operates on the basis of the requirements of the Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education”, “National Concept of Education”, “National Concept of Education”, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, decisions of the Council and orders of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, regulations, Charter of the Lyceum and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The curriculum of the lyceum was developed on the basis of the curriculum of general educational institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2020 in agreement with the Republican Educational and Methodological Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and approved by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. Based on this plan, the University Lyceum has established its educational and methodological activities. Classes at the Lyceum are held in 2 shifts, the 1st shift is the main time of study, the 2nd shift is additional classes.
Admission to the lyceum takes place annually on a competitive basis. By order of the Rector of the Tajik National University, an authorized commission for the admission of applicants is created. The commission includes the Director of the Lyceum, a representative of the Department of Education, teachers of natural, mathematical and social sciences. The Lyceum accepts children from all regions of the country on a competitive basis.
In the Lyceum, on the basis of the decision of the Pedagogical Council and the order of the Director of the Lyceum, the Methodological Council of the Lyceum was created. The methodological council considers and discusses various aspects of the lyceum’s activities. Under the Methodological Council of the Lyceum, there are 4 methodological associations of subject teachers. They have their own regulations, analyze the lessons, the results of the past academic year and determine the duties of the members of the Council for further activities. Recommendations for educational activities are presented in general terms.
The methodical union of teachers of natural sciences, the methodological union of teachers of exact sciences, the methodological union of teachers of social and humanitarian subjects and the methodical union of class teachers act on the basis of their annual plan.
The Lyceum has a two-story educational building and other auxiliary buildings, its study area is 1041.1 sq.m. The Lyceum has football, volleyball, sports halls, a medical center, laboratories for physics, biology, chemistry, classrooms for the Tajik language, Russian language, English language, mathematics, geography, history, military training, student unions, computer classes, workrooms. and etc.
