Chairman of the Council of Scientists of the Tajik National University
The Council of Scientists of the Tajik National University is considered the highest governing body of TNU. The regulation of the Council of Scientists is based on the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education”, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Higher Professional Education and Postgraduate Professional Education after Higher Education Institutions”, Model Regulations on Educational Institutions of Higher Professional Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, Regulations on the Council of Scientists of Higher Professional Education Institutions Republic of Tajikistan and other legal documents in the field of education and science of the Republic of Tajikistan also in accordance with the Charter of the Tajik National University.
The Council of Scientists as a legislative body adopts the main regulatory documents governing various aspects of the university’s activities: consideration of issues of educational activities – methodological, research, innovation, educational, cultural, ethical, international relations, financial and economic, approves relevant decisions. It also determines the list of areas, directions, specialties, approves educational, methodological, scientific and cultural plans and programs, determines the courses studied, the volume of their hours, forms of monitoring students’ knowledge, same start and end of training periods and other regulatory legal documents.
The activities of the Academic Council of the University are carried out in accordance with the Work Plan of the Academic Council of the University and are compiled by the Rector of the University based on the promising directions of its development. Decisions of the Academic Council of the University on issues within its competence are binding on structural units, as well as for all employees and students.
The Academic Council of the University includes the rector, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, heads of departments, director of the scientific library, heads of university departments, representatives of public organizations.
The main duties of the Council of Scientists of the Tajik National University include:
– unification and effective use of scientific, educational and methodological forces of professors, teachers and employees of the Tajik National University.
– implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education”, the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Higher Vocational Education and Postgraduate Vocational Education”, Model Regulations on Educational Institutions of Higher Vocational Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, these Regulations and other documents of the legal and regulatory sphere of education and science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
– practical implementation of instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, other ministries and departments and higher authorities to ensure the training of highly qualified professionals for various areas of the economy and society.
– assistance in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, the conduct and further development of scientific research, the development of educational, methodological and educational activities among students.
– control over the implementation of decisions.
