
An international scientific conference dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the birth of the great Persian-Tajik poet and mystic Hafez Shirazi was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The event carried significant cultural and spiritual importance.
The delegation from Tajik National University included leading faculty members from the Faculty of Philology: Dean and Doctor of Philological Sciences Sirojiddin Emomali, Professors Badriddin Makhmudov, Mirzo Solehov, and Associate Professor Vahhobzoda Rustam, who all took part and delivered speeches.
Special attention during the conference was given to the sections “Hafez and Spirituality” and “The Influence of Hafez’s Poetry on Traditional Music,” chaired by Professor Sirojiddin Emomali (Tajikistan) and Abbas Charhchi (France). The scientific presentations featured in-depth analyses of Hafez’s works and his role in shaping spiritual thought and traditional musical culture.
The active participation of Tajik scholars in this prestigious international forum demonstrates the high level of academic excellence and the respected position of the Tajik philological school on the global stage.
