
Today, March 26, as part of the initiatives focused on humanitarianism and care, proposed by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the esteemed Emomali Rahmon, a scientific conference was held at the Tajik National University (TNU) on the topic: “Worthy and Humanitarian Initiatives of the Leader of the Nation – The Foundation for the Revival of National and Historical Values.”
The conference was attended by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Legal Affairs, Representative of the President’s Authorized Representative in the National Assembly and the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zarif Alizoda, as well as professors and students of TNU.
The event began with the performance of the State Anthem and the opening speech by the rector of the university, Professor Nasriddin Zoda E.S.
It was emphasized that at the core of his state activity, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the esteemed Emomali Rahmon, with his creative and humanitarian initiatives, has won the hearts of thousands of people around the world and is known as a popular leader, defender of citizens’ rights, and a compassionate figure.

It was also noted that one of these initiatives is the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Pardon of Individuals Sentenced to Imprisonment,” which was adopted in honor of the International holiday of Nowruz and based on the principle of humanitarianism, in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, resulting in the pardon of 897 people.
Zarif Alizoda, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Legal Affairs, noted that the experience of statehood of the Leader of the Nation, since the first years of his coming to power, confirms all his creative and humanitarian initiatives. Specifically, the achievement of national unity, the return of migrants to their homeland, the establishment of peace and national accord, amnesty and the pardon of individuals who have committed crimes are vivid examples. It was also emphasized that the peace and stability achieved in the Republic of Tajikistan, despite numerous difficulties and efforts invested in this process, are part of the contribution of the esteemed Emomali Rahmon to international politics and the fate of the nation.
During the conference, Doctor of Legal Sciences, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Anti-Corruption at TNU, Takdirshokh Sharipov, spoke on the topic “The Legal Nature of Pardon,” Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of International Relations, Amriddin Sharipov, presented on “Humanity in the Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Leader of the Nation,” Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Anti-Corruption at the Faculty of Law, Firdavs Mirzoakhmedov, gave a talk on “Amnesty and Pardon: Similarities and Differences Between Them,” and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Historical Science and Archival Studies at the Faculty of History, Behruz Neymonov, discussed “Emomali Rahmon – The People’s Leader and Defender of Citizens’ Rights.”
