On the 1st of September the traditional solemn ceremony, devoted to the Day of Knowledge, was held in Tajik National University. The event was attended by students, teachers and staff of the University administration. Distinguished invitees included Deputy Prime Minister Sattoriyon Matlubahon Amonzoda and Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadyusuf Imomzoda.
The opening ceremony was led by the Rector of the University Professor Khushvakhtzoda Q. Kh., he greeted the audience and congratulated teachers, students and university staff with The Day of Knowledge.
Deputy Prime Minister Sattoriyon Matlubahon Amonzoda and Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadyusuf Imomzoda joined in the congratulations to the university staff on the beginning of a new academic year. It was noted that the main goal of the Government is to improve the level and quality of education and train specialists who can be competitive in the labour market.
During the event and on the eve of the great national holiday – the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a number of staff and teachers of TNU received state awards for their fruitful work and invaluable contribution to the development of science and education.
