As part of the implementation of the Decree of the Mayor of Dushanbe on the celebration of the “Week of Science, Technology, Innovations, and Inventions for Teenagers and Youth of Dushanbe,” a scientific conference titled “Innovations, Digitalization, and Inventions: New Paths to Sustainable Development” was held at Tajik National University (TNU).
The conference began with the performance of the State Anthem and an opening speech by the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Safarmamadzoda S.M. In his speech, he noted that since the country gained independence, the government’s attention to the development of science and technology has significantly increased, and important steps have been taken to support teenagers and youth in this field. In this regard, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in his messages and special meetings, always emphasizes the importance of developing science and innovations. As the Leader of the Nation stated: “Youth is the most active part of society and the continuer of the traditions of the older generation. In the future, with the help of modern knowledge, technologies, and efforts in the field of science and innovations, they will make a valuable contribution to the development of science and strengthening the international authority of our country.”
During the conference, reports were presented by candidates of economic sciences: Jaloliddin Rahmonov, Associate Professor of the Department of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Economics and Management, on “Innovative Processes and the Connection Between Science and Production,” and Saydali Pirov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, on “IT Technologies and Artificial Intelligence as the Driving Force of Economic and Social Development.”
It was noted that such conferences contribute to expanding the knowledge and skills of teenagers and youth in the fields of innovation, digitalization, and invention. These events create conditions for discovering and developing talents among youth, strengthening their potential for further progress in science, technology, and digital business. The forum became an important platform for exchanging ideas, presenting new concepts, and finding effective ways for sustainable development of society.
