Today, October 21, 2023, the Faculty of Asian and European Languages celebrated the International Hindi Language Day.
The honorary guests of the holiday were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Tajikistan Mr. Viraj Singh and the teacher of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) of India, Mushtok Ahmad.
The event began with an opening speech by the dean of the faculty, associate professor Rustam Shodiev.
The rector of TNU, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht also made a welcoming speech. He thanked Mr. Viraj Singh for his visit to TNU during the celebration of International Hindi Language Day, and also congratulated the students and faculty staff of the university on this day. Mr. Viraj Singh also joined in on the congratulations and noted that this event will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of science and education.
Also, a congratulatory speech was made by Professor of the Department of Indian Philology Rajabov Khabibullo, Head of the Department of Indian Philology, Associate Professor Kurbonov Khaydar and teacher of the Aligarh University of the Republic of India Mushtok Ahmed.
At the event, guests were also presented with the recently published book by Professor Rajabov Khabibullo “India – a country worth seeing,” dedicated to the 76th anniversary of India’s independence and the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and India.
At the end of the event, a cultural and entertainment program prepared by students of the faculty took place.
