On April 29, 2025, the first Forum for Cooperation of the Thailand-Central Asia International Education Consortium was held at Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand. This international event was organized at the initiative of the “New Silk Road” Foundation and aimed to strengthen scientific and educational ties among the countries of the region and to expand cooperation in the field of higher education.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented at the forum by a delegation from the ТNU – First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Mr. Faridun Rajabzoda, and the Leading Specialist of the International Relations Department Mr. Komron Faizulloev.
In his speech, the First Vice-Rector Mr. Rajabzoda spoke about the scientific and educational capacities of the university, highlighting the importance and timeliness of productive cooperation with the developed countries of Southeast Asia, especially Thailand.
On the sidelines of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ТNU and Assumption University of Thailand. According to the memorandum, cooperation will be established in the areas of academic exchange of students and faculty, joint research, scientific conferences, and other bilateral activities.
This initiative marks a new stage of fruitful relations between the two institutions of higher education and provides a solid foundation for further cooperation.
