On 15 October 2023, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Qingwei visited the Confucius Institute at the Tajik National University (TNU).
The guest was warmly greeted by representatives of the diplomatic structures of the republic and the, Head of the TNU, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Q.Kh. and university staff.
Mr. Zhang Qingwei, together with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Ji Shumin and the Head of TNU, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Q.Kh. visited the Confucius Institute and introduced the guest to the features of the educational and cultural process at the Confucius Institute. The guest visited the Confucius Institute museum, cultural room, library, linguistic class and assembly hall. After Mr. Zhang Qingwei met with students and talked with Chinese and foreign teachers of the Confucius Institute. The meeting took place in the assembly hall of the Confucius Institute. It was opened by the rector of TNU, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Q.Kh.
Rector greeted Mr. Zhang Qingwei and everyone present in the hall. In his speech, Rector spoke about the activities of the Confucius Institute at TNU. The TNU Confucius Institute was opened in 2008, and has its own teaching aids for teaching Chinese language and culture.
After the performances, the guests were shown a concert program prepared by the University national ensemble Navruz.
At the end of the event, Mr. Zhang Qingwei thanked the university management for their hospitality and wished all students and teachers effective learning and success in studying the culture of both countries.
