Graduate employment is one of the main, important and pressing issues of every prestigious university, and this indicator determines the reputation and prestige of the university both domestically and internationally. The Tajik National University works seriously in this direction, striving to ensure that each of its graduates finds suitable jobs depending on their specialty. The issue of employment has been raised since the period of student mobilization for internships.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, 5,038 students graduated from the Tajik National University. Of these, 1,500 were provided with full-time jobs in the six months after graduation, 450 continued their studies at domestic and foreign universities, and another 400 were mobilized for military service. This means that in the first six months, 46.6% of students at the Tajik National University were provided with jobs. Typically, more than 80% of graduates are provided with suitable jobs within a year of graduation, based on the information provided by university faculties.

The University’s Internship Department has cooperation agreements with most domestic institutions in the Republic of Tajikistan and plays a coordinating role in providing graduates with jobs. In addition, today, most state officials in the Republic of Tajikistan, such as the President of the country Emomali Rahmon, former Secretary General of the SCO Rashid Olimov, Mayor of Dushanbe Rustami Emomali, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan Ashurion Muzaffar, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda, Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Ozoda Rahmon, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Personnel Issues Asadullo Rahmon, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Economic Issues Hikmatullozoda Ne’matullo, Tajik journalist and writer Salimi Ayubzod, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Khairulloev, prominent Tajik historian Rohat Nabieva, Russian state official Valery Potapenko, prominent Tajik poet Bozor Sobir, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan Saymumin Yatimov, Russian sociologist and philosopher Leonid Blyakher, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Habibullo Vohidzoda, Tajik singer Manizha Davlat, former Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan Imomzoda Mahmayusuf, poet and Tajik writer Mumin Qanoat, state official of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yesengeldi Mustafatov, current rector of the Tajik National University Nasriddinzoda Emomali, and others are alumni of the university.
