XVI INTERNATIONAL FORUM “DIALOGUE OF LANGUAGES AND CULTURES IN CIS COUNTRIES IN THE XXI CENTURY” STARTED ITS WORK AT TNU

On October 15 the XVI international forum Dialogue of Languages and Cultures in CIS countries in the XXI century “Formation of an innovative humanitarian space of the CIS and the role of the Russian language in conditions of multilingualism and multiculturalism” started its work at Tajik National University.

The forum was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the CIS Humanitarian Action Trust Fund, the Basic Organization on Languages and Culture of the CIS Member States, Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU) and Tajik National University.

The opening ceremony of the Forum began with a welcoming speech by the rector of the Tajik National University, Professor Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht, the rector of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University, Professor Fayzullo Mashrab Kurbonali and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan Grigoriev Semyon Vyacheslavovich.

Also at the opening ceremony, the rector of Moscow State Linguistic University Irina, Professor Irina Arkadievna Kraeva, spoke on the topic of linguistic and cultural aspects of internationalization.

The Forum brought together delegates from more than 70 universities of the CIS countries of which 31 delegates are from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan.

XVI International Forum Dialogue of Languages and Cultures in CIS countries in the XXI century “Formation of an innovative humanitarian space in the CIS and the role of the Russian language in conditions of multilingualism and multiculturalism” is a unique platform to promote the creative beginning of educational ties between the countries of the region. The forum opens the way for new contacts and acquaintances, and also allows to learn current trends and evaluate the latest innovations in the field.

The Forum program includes an educational exhibition, presentations and master classes, and work in two sections. The forum participants will have a business program, where speakers will give examples of the educational strategy of their universities and talk about methods and forms of education.

All participants will be issued with a certificate upon successfully completing the forum.
