Independence is the highest and most valuable achievement of the Tajiks. Thirty two years ago the most important historical event in the fate of the Tajik nation took place: the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was declared. This joyful event took place at the beginning of September 1991, and September 9 was officially adopted as the State Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan. From that time until today, this auspicious date is considered a holy holiday for the Tajik nation.
This great gift, along with its acquisition, brought light and intelligence, love and loyalty, prosperity and freedom, harmony and coexistence, and peace and eternity to the great Tajik people and dear Tajikistan.
Over the years, our nation has gone through the ups and downs of history and tough trials, but it has preserved the achievements of its original culture, national identity, pure native language, science and world-wide literature. It is known to everyone that our forefathers expressed the best and clearest dreams and aspirations of mankind and the pillars of morality by inculcating the valuable thought of “Good thoughts, good words and good deeds”. .
It was such an advanced civilization, traditions and rituals with a vital aspect, life-creating thinking and high intellectual knowledge of our ancestors that they became the treasure of human civilization starting from Zoroaster and Moni, to Rudaki and Firdawsi, Abu Ali Sino and Nasir Khisrav, Umar Khayyam and Imam Ghazzoli, Sheikh Attor and Jalal al-Din Balkhi, Saadi and Hafiz, Khoja Kamal and Mavlana Jami, Sayido and Bedil have given hundreds of geniuses of science, literature and culture.
The era of Independence created a real opportunity for us to choose the path of the present and future of the nation and further progress of our beloved country towards a democratic, law-based and secular society. Independence for us is the highest symbol of the Motherland and patriotism, the greatest gift of statehood and independent statehood, continuous creative endeavors, determination and selfless efforts to achieve political, economic and cultural independence, strengthened the norms of civil society and at the same time free life of every individual and the highest level of happiness. provided the real nation. For us, independence is a prominent sign of the stability of the state, the preservation of the image of the nation, a symbol of originality and identity, historical ideals and dreams, an international passport and the honor and prestige of joining the independent country of Tajikistan to the civilized world. Today, all the inhabitants of our free and prosperous country are proud that twenty-five years ago, we laid the first bricks of the foundation of our real independence and national statehood, and thanks to independence, we got state symbols – the Flag, the Emblem and the new National Anthem.
The tumultuous events of the beginning of the nineties made us think about the issue of ensuring national and state security, maintaining the peace of society, maintaining peace and stability, and strengthening independence and protecting its achievements, all of which were considered an integral part of our state policy.
In November 1992, in the Arbob Palace of B. Fafurov district, the 16th session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan brought to the political arena a personality whose name is closely related to the further achievements of the country. From the day of the election of the head of the state, the proud son of the people, the founder of national peace and unity – the leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the foundations of the constitutional structure, the norms regulating the economic, social and cultural life of the country have been introduced in all the levers of power, and the national currency has been put into circulation. National passport was recognized on the world stage. We established one of the main pillars of independent statehood – the National Army and border forces, and took constant control over the protection of the borders of the Motherland and the borders of our state. As the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon emphasized: “One of our most important achievements in the era of independence is state building and modern national statehood, which essentially has a legal, social and secular form.”
Now, after the passing of years and the achievement of some important achievements, we can make the following conclusion: “The new period of state building and independent statehood made us take the path of economic reforms, changing the form of ownership, forming the national economy and new management structures, and expanding it. open the way for market relations and integration of the economic system of Tajikistan to the pulse of the world economy”.Our most difficult problem for twenty-nine years was the issue of energy independence, which the head of state dealt with daily after the organization of the power structures.
This year, more than a few facilities are expected to be built and put into use on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan dedicated to the historical date. Through independence, Tajikistan brought together the Tajiks of the world and opened its doors to compatriots abroad.
It is a good result of independence that today Tajikistan is recognized in the world as a peace-loving and peace-loving state. The peace experience of Tajiks has become a source of education for peace-loving people of the world, which is a source of pride for every Tajik nation. We should be proud of this prosperous nation and make efforts to make it even more popular.
