The Historical Significance of the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship

Today (April 2, 2025), a scientific conference was held at the TNU dedicated to the signing of the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship and its role in strengthening the friendly relations among Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The event commenced with the National Anthem, followed by an excerpt from the speech of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, delivered during the joint Navruz cultural celebration in the ancient city of Khujand.

In his opening remarks, the Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor Nasriddinzoda E.S., highlighted the historical initiatives of President Emomali Rahmon on the eve of the International Navruz holiday.

He emphasized that these steps by the Leader of the Nation align with the spirit of Navruz traditions, carrying not only political, social, and cultural significance but also symbolizing peace, unity, humanitarianism, and progress for the region.

Following the Rector’s address, Associate Professor Jafarov S.Kh. (Candidate of Historical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations), Professor Mirboboev R.M. (Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of World Economy at the Faculty of Finance and Economics), and Associate Professor Sulaymonov F.S. (Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law at the Faculty of Law) delivered speeches on various topics.

During the conference, it was stated that the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship creates a favorable environment for the further development of regional cooperation. It marks a new stage in the historical process of regional collaboration.
