Today marks the start of the third and final training session of the ESGCA project, which will take place at the University of Genoa from 20 to 24 May 2025.
This event is intended for teachers and senior staff from ESGCA partner institutions in Central Asia. The training aims to support the development and implementation of new curricula that meet regional needs and changing labour market requirements, particularly in the area of ESG (environmental, social and governance) integration.
Main areas of focus:
• ESG and sustainable development in social sciences
• Leadership, organisational transformation, risk and change management
• Development and accreditation of master’s programmes in accordance with quality standards and key performance indicators
• Participatory education and responsible management practices
A visit to the environmentally sustainable campus in Savona is also planned. This renovated campus, a former military base, is now a centre for university life and innovation in the field of ESG and is part of the International Sustainable Campuses Network (ISCN).
This training is an important step towards strengthening the academic and institutional capacity of Central Asian universities in the implementation of ESG values in education and practice.
