Under this title, today (April 23, 2025), a scientific-theoretical conference was held in the main hall of the main building of the ТNU, dedicated to the 1160th anniversary of the renowned Tajik philosopher, physician, and chemist Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakariya al-Razi. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, dated January 2, 2025, No. AP-713, the year 2025 has been declared the Year of the 1160th Anniversary of Abu Bakr Muhammad Zakariya al-Razi in Tajikistan.
It was noted that Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi is among the geniuses who made significant contributions to the development of various fields of global science, including chemistry.
Further into the event, chemistry scholars such as Safarmamadzoda Safarmamad Muboraksho, Karimzoda Mahmadqul Bobo, Rajabzoda Sirojiddin Ikrom, Faizullozoda Erkin Fathullo, Davlatshoeva Jahongul Asankhonovna, Bobokalov Todzhiddin Barotmahmadovich, and Jurabekov Ubaidullo Mahmadsaifievich delivered insightful presentations on the topics: “Biography of Muhammad Zakariya al-Razi,” “Al-Razi’s Views on the Classification of Chemical Substances,” “Al-Razi’s Contribution to the Development of Chemistry,” “The Role of Muhammad Zakariya al-Razi in the Advancement of Medicine and Chemistry: Embodiment of a Medieval Scientific Genius,” and “Muhammad Zakariya al-Razi – A Prominent Chemist of the Medieval Eastern World.”
